Hi, I'm glad you found my website! My name is Ed Bacon, and I have been providing pastoral and clinical counseling in Decatur since 2015. Before practicing full time, I served as executive director at Northeast Community Fund and God's Shelter of Love, both in Decatur, IL. I am a father of two grown children and will be celebrating thirty years of marriage at the end of this year. My hobbies include motorcycling, bicycling, golf and fishing. On a professional note, I hold two Master's degrees in counseling from Illinois State University and Lincoln Christian Seminary. I am an ordained minister and a U.S. Army veteran with training at the U.S. Army Chaplain Center and School in counseling for combat stress casualties, PTSD and traumatic event management. I have several years experience providing couples counseling, pre-marital counseling, family counseling and individual counseling for adults, teens and children struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, trauma and other common mental health issues. I utilize a number of therapies that includes CBT, DBT, ACT, Choice Theory and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
